The best 3x3 basketball players and breakers come together in iconic Gashouder!

The organizations of the FIBA 3X3 World Tour Amsterdam Masters and Amsterdam Breaking Championships are joining forces. During the World Tour Masters, the global top 3x3 basketball and the best Dutch breakdancers will pull together at the iconic Gashouder in Amsterdam on October 12.
While the 3x3 basketball players show their skills on court, this year the breakers will also amaze the audience in the cultural village. Thus, two new Olympic sports come together in a unique way during one of the most innovative sporting events of 2024. In an urban location that suits both 3x3 basketball and breaking.

The FIBA 3x3 World Tour Amsterdam Masters, organized by 3X3 Unites, is descending on the Gashouder in Amsterdam for the second year in a row. 'The Gashouder was always a dream for us,' says Jesper Jobse, co-founder of 3X3 Unites. 'Last year we showed how to turn this fantastic urban venue into a unique sports arena, pushing the boundary between sports and entertainment.'

That success tasted like more. The organization wanted to raise the bar even higher this year, and the combination with the Amsterdam Breaking Championships was a perfect fit. 'It's actually a very logical combination,' says Jobse. 'They are also an urban sport, have the same target group and image and love entertainment around the sport, such as music for example. By combining these two sports, we want to make the program even more complete and hopefully more unforgettable.'

The Amsterdam Breaking Championships were held for the first time last year at the Central Market Hall in Amsterdam. Here, both men and women competed for the Dutch 1 vs. 1 title and for the International Crew Battles. Sardjoe, Demierre and the Hustle Kidz walked away with the win. Inside the Amsterdam Central Market Hall, a special stadium had been built for this championship with a circle in the middle of the stadium as a battleground for intense Breaking battles.

Niels Markensteijn, Managing partner of TIG Sports explains, "From TIG we worked with 3X3 Unites before, during the Urban Sports Week Amsterdam. We are incredibly excited about this next step in collaboration.  Breaking has a lot of potential to grow and by working together with 3x3 we can combine the two new Olympic sports with entertainment. We are determined to give participants and spectators an unforgettable experience."

The FIBA 3X3 World Tour Amsterdam Masters will be held Oct. 12 and 13 at the Gashouder in Amsterdam. Besides the absolute 3x3 world top in men's basketball, this year also the best female 3x3 basketball players in the world will compete in the Gashouder.
