3X3 Street League nears its climax with regional finals across the Netherlands

The finals will unfold in six cities: Groningen, Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Eindhoven, Hilversum, and Rotterdam. With fans just meters from the court and the beats pumping from nearby speakers, the tension rises with every game. Beyond pride and glory, there’s more at stake: the regional champions will earn a coveted spot at the Dutch National 3x3 Championships, set to take place on July 26 and 27 at Bijlmer Arena in Amsterdam.

This opportunity awaits teams in the Under-13 (mixed), Under-15, and Under-18 categories. For teams competing in the 18+ category, the stakes are even higher: they’ll go head-to-head in the National Finals on June 20, with the winners securing a spot in the 3X3 Pro League, which follows directly after the Street League season.

The 3X3 Street League has become a vibrant hub for local communities, where players of all ages gather on neighborhood courts to celebrate the fast-paced sport that has soared in popularity since its Olympic gold medal triumph in Paris. As the most accessible basketball competition in the Netherlands, it offers a unique platform where talent meets opportunity.

But the 3X3 Street League is more than just a competition—it’s a movement. It’s where young players get the chance to shine, to grow, and to dream big. Even Olympic champion Worthy de Jong started on his local court. It’s no coincidence that the motto of organizer 3X3 Unites is: “From the streets to the top.”

Now active in 26 cities across the Netherlands, the league is driven by a unique grassroots model. It is fully run by young people—known as 3X3 Leaders—who have completed the 3X3 Leader Course by 3X3 Unites.
