About the workshop

Do you ever feel pressure and have a million thoughts racing through your head? Do things not go as planned and you find yourself stuck on it? Do you struggle to stay motivated? Or do you simply want to better understand what’s going on in your mind? Then this workshop is for you! In this workshop, together with former professional basketball player Sebastiaan Boissevain, you’ll work on your mental game. No long theory sessions—this is about doing, experiencing, and reflecting. What you learn won’t just help you on the court, but also at school, work, and in your daily life. Think of staying calm under pressure, bouncing back from mistakes, staying motivated, and approaching challenges with more focus and clarity. We won’t focus on winning or losing, but on how you can get the best out of yourself—in a way that lasts.

      What will you learn?

      During this interactive session, we’ll work on your mental game in a fun and engaging way. No dry theory, but tools you can immediately apply in your life, on the court, and in your role as a 3X3 Leader. This is what you’ll learn:


      1. Staying motivated & setting goals;
      + Understanding how (your) motivation works
      +Discovering your own goals and drivers
      + Setting goals that are realistic and keep you motivated

      2. Maintaining focus & staying calm (under pressure)
      + Staying calm in exciting or challenging situations (e.g., during an event, test, or presentation)
      + Training your focus (your “attention muscle”)
      +Preparing yourself better for challenges

      3. Bouncing back from mistakes & setbacks
      + Recovering more quickly after a mistake (e.g., when things don’t go as expected)
      + Preventing one moment from affecting your entire day
      + Keeping going, even when things get tough

      By alternating short explanations with exercises and honest reflection, you’ll not only learn more about yourself, but also how to support others. You’ll be challenged to be honest with yourself—that’s where the most growth happens. After this workshop, you’ll go home with practical tools you can immediately apply in your daily life, your role as a 3X3 Leader, and your own sport.
