Rabobank becomes title partner of the 3X3 Unites event pyramid: from the street to the top

Amsterdam/Utrecht, April 2, 2026 – 3X3 Unites and Rabobank are taking a new step in their social partnership. The bank is now also committing itself as the title partner of the entire 3X3 Unites event pyramid: from local neighborhood court tournaments to international elite sporting events. Both parties do so from a shared ambition: to get young people moving in an accessible way, stimulate their development, inspire others, and provide them with a challenging environment where connection is central.

Rabobank recently announced that it will invest nearly €80 million over the next two years in initiatives that promote health, with special attention to children, young people, and vulnerable groups. The collaboration with 3X3 Unites is one of these initiatives.

“At Rabobank, we believe that sport is a powerful driver of growth and connection. That is why we fully support initiatives such as 3X3 Unites, which help young people grow – physically, socially, and mentally,” says Thomas Metz, Head of Sponsorship at Rabobank. “Our collaboration with 3X3 Unites started in January with a clear social ambition: to give young people the space to develop themselves in a safe, energetic environment. By now also becoming the title partner of all events—where inspiring role models motivate new generations to get active themselves—we are completing the circle. We are a cooperative bank for athletes who are just starting out, for talents with big dreams, and for the heroes who inspire everyone.”

Proud

Jesper Jobse, co-founder of 3X3 Unites, is proud of the collaboration. “Events have been at the heart of our community for years. They provide a stage for young people, enthusiasts, and elite players, and bring people together. In addition, they create opportunities for anyone who wants to play 3x3, at any level. We are proud that Rabobank recognizes this value and connects its name to it.”

From the street to the top

The “From the street to the top” series forms the national kick-off of 3x3 basketball in the Netherlands this spring. The most accessible component is the Rabo 3x3 Street League, where players can participate free of charge. The competition is played weekly across 21 districts, spread over more than thirty courts throughout the country. Hundreds of matches take place for different age categories, from children to adults.

At the same time, professional men’s and women’s teams from the Netherlands and abroad compete weekly in the Rabo 3x3 PRO Cup. The PRO Cup takes place on May 23 and 31, and June 6, in Vlissingen, Haarlem, and with the final in Arnhem, respectively.

The winners of the Rabo 3x3 Street League qualify for the national finals during the 3x3 Festival. The men’s and women’s teams that win the Rabo 3x3 PRO Cup in Arnhem will also compete at the 3x3 Festival. They will play in the arena where the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters and the Women’s Series Amsterdam are held simultaneously. This international top-level event takes place from June 19 to 21 at the NDSM Wharf, featuring participation from Dutch Olympic and world champions as well.
